I offer packages for families, engagements, weddings, branding, and portraits. If you’re interested you can look under the sessions tab for more information and prices

How do I book?
Sending an email, a DM on social media, filling out an inquiry on my website, or links in my social media stories.
An inquiry or reaching out does not mean you are officially booked. There are retainer fees that need to be paid, a contract, and dates to confirm before you are officially booked.
Retainer costs are based on packages and are at discretion of Nellies Lens

Pricing
Sessions are catered to you based on seasons of life and the year, by the event etc. Session pricing is listed on Nellies Lens website under the booking tab in portfolios.
Prices are subjected to hst when applicable

Printing photos
Much like choosing a quality within a photographer, the quality of your printing source also matters. While places like Walmart can be cheaper for printing, pictures can look more blown out and distorted.
Best places to get pictures printed are at places like Costco or Atlantic photo supply located in Halifax and in Dartmouth.

Cancellations & Refunds
Understanding life happens, please reach out to myself if you need to reschedule or need support. Cancellations and time frames are dependent on sessions booked. Retainers are nonrefundable. You can reschedule if needed.
Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds or partial refunds in all instances due to rentals bookings, etc., as I have blocked off that time and dedicated to capturing you or your event, and to fill that time may be difficult to or possible. If there are extenuating circumstances, you may reach out to me and we can see what we can do.

Editing and receiving
Depending on your package, most photo packages will be delivered in a gallery for your viewing pleasure via a dropbox and or email to yourself. This happens 2 to 3 weeks after a session. Larger sessions such as bigger events and weddings can take 4-6 weeks turn around time. You have 90 days once a galleries is delivered to download your Photos before there is no longer access.
If you’re unable to download or have trouble viewing your gallery, please connect with myself and we’ll figure out a solution. After 90 days, there’s no guarantee I will have copies of photos to send you.
If you’re concerned about the editing of photos after receiving your gallery or need some tweaks, please reach out to myself and I can assist you. Depending on the amount or needed, there may be a fee attached, but this will be discussed and determined before process begins.
There shall be no editing of photos received from outside parties or alterations to photos without my permission.

Where to take photos
On theme with the oceans playground, the world is your oyster! There are so many available spots that you can choose from within the HRM and outside the HRM. Choosing a location outside of the HRM may include a travel fee per kilometre that will be discussed in agreed-upon before booking
Places within the HRM:
Halifax Public Garden (during the summer the park does close around 7 or 8pm
Beaches: Conrad’s, Rainbow Haven, Lawerentown
Cole Harbour Heritage Park
Outside of the HRM:
Harriet Irving Botanical Garden
Wineries (may require permission)
Crystal Beach
Willow Park
Grand Pre National Historic Site

What to wear?
We all stress when we know a camera is going to be around. “What will I wear” , “will I look good?” “ when I see these photos in 10 years, will I be embarrassed?” The answer isn’t always simple but remember that these photos should still feel like you! So while we may make suggestions, go with what your heart wants and remember much like our photos from the 90s... We still enjoy looking back at what was the time
Earthy neutral tones are classic that always look good some examples:
Green
Blues
White
Beige
Light yellows
Vibrants are always fun so never feel you have to go with just neutrals. Dressing what makes you feel like you and that you’ll look back and feel yourself in.
